Trying to find a way to transfer video content from DVR to Mac hardrive and subsequently to DVD. Help?

I have an ADB 5810WX DVR running on Surewest. It has USB, HDMI and S Video ports in the back. As I said, I'd like to transfer a significant amount of video from the DVR to my MacBook Pro and then to DVD. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!
